As a mom, a wife, and an entrepreneur wearing many hats, I know exactly what it feels like to juggle it all—and still notice the dust building up on the baseboards, the grime in the grout, or that long-forgotten corner needing care. Like many women in Ukrainian families, I was raised with the belief that I had to do it all—and do it well. My mother did. My grandmother did. And so I followed the same path: running a business, nurturing my family, and prioritizing everyone’s growth while trying to hold everything together at home.
But somewhere along the way, I started to feel overwhelmed.
The cleaning tasks kept piling up, and there was never a “right” time to get to them.
I used to tell myself, “I’ll do it on the weekend” or “maybe next week.” Yet that week never came.
It simply never occurred to me that I could delegate—that I could bring in help. I thought hiring a cleaner was a luxury, not a solution.
Until one day, I tried it. And everything changed.
The relief.
The clarity.
The peace of mind that came from walking into a space that felt fresh, calm, and truly cared for—it was more than just clean floors. It was a reset.
That experience became the spark for Velanna Home.
